Snow Check: today's ski verdicts for southern Idaho

Snow Check Southern Idaho
Southern Idaho NOT YET Waiting for opening day Most snow so far: Sun Valley, 4" deep at the station.

Updated 3:26 PM.

How the verdicts work

Bluebird is the rare one: about 4" or more of new snow in 48 hours and a clear sky today.

Powder means fresh snow under clouds. Storm means snow is falling today. Bluebird groomer means sunny with no new storm. Quiet means no new storm and gray skies.

Snow comes from federal SNOTEL weather stations, not resort reports, so every mountain is measured the same way.
